To easily sync data in your computer, outside the Dropbox folder.
Download & install "Link Shell Extension".
http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html#download
Then, right-click on the folder you need to be synced & select "Pick Link Source" from the context menu. Now, get the right-click context menu for the Dropbox folder & select "Drop As...>SymbolicLink".
That's it. Now, you should have a (shortcut like) icon named as the folder you wanted to be synced within your Dropbox folder. I think, this little thing makes Dropbox more flexible. As far as I know, this feature is not yet offered by the service. Hope it will be in the future.
If anyone know things like these, pls share with all. :)

Agree with you about the capacity. If you need more space than 8GB Dropbox is no good enough though it provides lots of user friendly features.
My personal experience is I have earned 6.75GB in DropBox but using only 1.9GB.
And in free services you can't expect much. Have to compromise someway. That can be either storage or user friendliness.

@Malinda Alahakoon
Before I got the invitation of this, I was looking for something like this. But, couldn't find anything that could satisfy me. Also after I got this, I compared this with some other similar services on web. Except IDrive, I'm not much happy about none of the others(Regarding the offerings they had given to the free users).
Seemingly, IDrive's major purpose is backing-up, though it could be used to be a kind of synchronization like of the Dropbox. But as I remember, even it does not have the simplicity of the Dropbox. The problem I have with the Dropbox is, it's capacity. :D Hope it will be increased in the future. When considering about the capacity, I think "Idrive" is the best option I could find. 'Coz, though basically it also offers only 2GB for free users, we can increase it up to 12GB, by only sending invitation mails to the people we know. Dropbox also offers something like this. But as I remember, it limits upto 8GB & also the people we invited must join it. But in the case of IDrive, we just have to send an invitation mail to increase the capacity upto 12GB. Obviously, this is an awesome thing to me when considering about the space. But, still I like Dropbox more than it. Regarding the Dropbox, I hope for few more GBs rather than more options. :)
Correct m, if I have mentioned something incorrect about the facts.

http://lifehacker.com/5154698/sync-files-and-folders-outside-your-my-dropbox-folder
It's a bit more complicated, but here are the instructions to sync folders outside of Dropbox. I agree, it'd be nice to have this feature come standard, but I imagine it's withheld to keep Dropbox running smoothly.

This is great tool which is base on SVN (Subversion) concept. I am glad if someone can send a article here about SVN
